  Creating a Better Tomorrow

Good business environments don't happen by chance.

Until recently, many in Michigan would take a good-paying job for granted.

But as our local economies have been adapting to global changes, we are realizing that to have good-paying Jobs, our community must have good-paying Job Providers.

The Wyoming-Kentwood Area Chamber Foundation exists to help our communities create the environment that will attract and retain businesses in our area.

Your gift—of any size—will help us all create a better tomorrow.

  The Chamber Foundation

Building Better Communities by Building Better Businesses

That’s the mission of the Wyoming-Kentwood Area Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1980.

The Chamber Foundation is affiliated with the Chamber of Commerce with a separate Board of Trustees.  It serves to provide funding to those groups, individuals, organizations, government units and others that are furthering the cause of commerce in our communities.

Help us create a better tomorrow in Greater Wyoming and Kentwood with a direct cash gift, planned giving, by remembering the Foundation in your will or with gifts in kind.  Any size gift is valued!

What the Foundation IS

The Wyoming-Kentwood Area Chamber Foundation was created in 2005 by the Chamber of Commerce as a charitable trust under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

It accepts gifts, grants or donations and distributes funds within our community for the purpose of helping create a better business environment, a better-trained local work force, business neighborhood improvements and other similar educational or charitable opportunities.

Funding scholarships to local students to further their education in any business-related field, helping plant trees in a business district or sponsoring an important community activity event geared toward improving our economy are just a few examples of efforts funded by the Foundation.

What the Foundation Is NOT

The Foundation is not a bank nor an economic development agency, nor is it a Venture Capital firm.  It cannot make any investments in or loans to any business entity or person.
